Ingredients

  • 500 grams lamb mince
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 tablespoons oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon mint
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

To Serve

  • 1/2 cup Tzatziki Refer to recipe or store bought
  • 1 Lemon Cut into wedges
  • 1 cup Rocket leaves

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all meatball ingredients except olive oil.
  • Mix together thoroughly with your hands, ensuring all ingredients are evenly incorporated. By using your hands, the lamb fat starts to melt and helps glue the meatballs together.
  • Roll the mince into tablespoon size balls.
  • In a large frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Fry the meatballs for 7 - 10 minutes, turning regularly to ensure they are golden brown on all sides.
  • Check for doneness (a little pink in the middle is ok, it's lamb!)
  • Serve atop the rocket leaves with lemon wedges and tzatziki.
